The sad news has reached us that Roger passed away last Thursday
His funeral will be on Monday morning at Medway Crematorium.
It has been asked (in a what must be a reflection of his upbeat manner) that should anyone wish to attend, could they please refrain from wearing black.
He will surely be missed up on the hill.
Always sad to hear of fellow soarers like this. I don't recall him personally.... must have been a mid week flyer perhaps ?
ReplyDeleteRoger tended to enjoy sunny afternoons the most (don't we all) but I hadn't seen him much in the last couple of years as he was battling the cancer that finally took him.
ReplyDeleteIve known Roger for ten years,he was always friendly and showed great interest in the models you were flying.Great sense ofhumour too! I'll miss him.

yes, he had plenty of enthusiasm and certainly enjoyed helping others
