Saturday off the slope...

A day of manly activities on Saturday with the first stage of installing the spar caps
in Simon's mighty ASG wing...

note shot gun on the wall just in case things go horribly wrong
....it will also be on standby for the maiden to take care of incompetent launchers

the all seeing eye watches as its limbs take shape on the floor nearby....

just to give you an idea of scale.....

a very pleasing junction

Airbus had to halt works due to a shortage of carbon

every aerospace project needs a hammer and some nails

fondling naked carbon

and to top it all he pulls another slope babe out of the bag!

glider love

There are some slope babes who are just too classy for the perv's gallery!
Regardless, Simon's scratch built 40% ASG is looking mighty impressive!

more of the mighty 'peep

The first warm session of the year at this premier slope site. Sun, wind and LGRA....what more could a die hard sloper ask for?

and there in the bushes lurks something else....

there it is....

it seems the Schwing had a coming together with the nearest planet.....at speed

merely a flesh wound

Simon dares to touch the iconic '27

return of the smack

Last Thursday brought on some glorious Spring thermals and between man and bird,
none were left to waste!

The Smack is back!....

...and treats Simon to a quick alfresco blowie so pleased he is to see him!

now that's out the way, let's get the Strega sorted

some lovely little scalies grace the patch

and other Paul's Shadow's fly-by noises gave us all a very hard horn

who's this about to slap himself in the face?

it's Les, and by the look of it he's really busting for a piss!

small scalie pre-landing pass

 it's a beauty!

master loves pilot, pilot loves master x

The Smack gets away all nonchalant like, despite a two year absence

Bopeep last week

Last Thursday's slacking session up on the mighty 'peep....

This lorry single handedly brought the South East
to a standstill by parking across all three lanes of the M20

Rob and the Eedo

No chance of sneaking up behind Graham today

"This isn't the glider you're looking for"

Pilot had some alternative literature today
Pete added other cockpit detail including-

pile of clumped together tissues in foot well
1/4 scale bottle of baby oil in glove box
crusty patch on inner thigh of trousers (simply achieved with a few drops of zap-a-gap)

the nearest we got to a flying shot
Graham's superb performer 'Gold (Le) Fish'

great shame at greatstone

A sneaky couple of hours in the sea air today. Unfortunately the wind was east of north east
so the prepubescent gnat bite of a slope was barely working at all....

beach landing is best

'I'll catch it!' 'No, me! let me get it!' 'It's my turn!' etc etc...for some reason it needs to be done in a zombie voice

in the interest of slope soaring and common sense I chose to ignore this

what strange warm bright object in the evening sky beckons forth?
