slowpeep

In or out?

We prefer up and down (with gratuitous use
of the slow motion button for good measure).

jeezuz peepers it's bopeep!

monster scalies in the pits and Mark ponders on whether there's been such
an epic day since (and I quote) the 'standing in front of a giant hair-drier session
of July 2013'

Phil (we'll call him Phil to protect his identity) of Glidermania
arrives to display some of his goods...

....which includes a nearly full-size DG303 Acro

Mark prefers to launch such mighty vessels from a semi-prone position

but this has the drawback of a grass/pube mashup

so he moves onto the rock star / guitar hero toss
to avoid the give-away grass stains

too much inverted action

pilot sports 18 month to 1 year old childrens' outfits from Primani

winner of May 2016's name the glider contest 'Glidie McGlide Face'
second place was 'Auto-erotic-asphyxia-fetish Insert-knob-here'

footage to follow at some point.....just to clarify- of the sailplanes
rather than the 'knob-in-glider' action

drone debate

More drone discussion in the national news on Radio 4 this morning.
Start the i-player at 1hr 17min 46 sec for a short, but well balanced item.

A little dabble with the air from last summer, unfortunately they've got a while to go before they reach
synchronised public flying display standards....thanks to Eric for capturing it for posterity.

from out of the gloom

Only two and a half months to go until the longest day!
As we crawl out of the gloom it's good to see a familiar band
of wastrels (some local some form further afield) up on the hill.

Let the season commence!

Paul's flap equipped Fusion....footage to follow at some point.

Conditions were also just right for his other maiden;
we ogled at her black carbon sexiness

Sharon

Tracy

an interesting old skool ASW19

and what appears to be a hatch is in-fact a flap / spoiler / brake thing a ma jig

Gulp?

we were in danger of actually getting a flying shot here!

a lovely Purbeck Assassin

Valenta ASW 20

and we round up TVSF's varied and rich spread
of gravity defying machines with a
rather splendid Sean Bannister Algebra 7(?)

shifting your old tat

'Bring and Buy' stall at the Soaring Society of America's annual convention;
now wish I hadn't left my wallet back at the hotel room.

vintage voltage

It's all gone retro at the Goodwind hangar this weekend
with some steady, gentle old-skool electrons trickling into the packs.

A smooth segue from the image in the last post....

catching bugs

It would seem that the blog acquired a dose of suspect coding some time ago leading
to frustrating and (possibly) malicious pop ups. Having given the whole thing a bit
of a spring clean, we're hoping that the pesky bug has been eliminated.
However please post in the comments if symptoms persist.

In the meantime, bow you heads and pray that we'll
get down to some flying in the not too distant future.

Love, best wishes and slopiness x x x

droning on again....

Whilst waiting for the wind, feel free to enjoy a slightly more balanced
piece of media coverage in the first ten minutes of this programme
